Cape Town Quaker Peace Centre Committee
for fundraising in Britain and Ireland

The Cape Town Quaker Peace Centre Committee of Central England Quakers raises funds amongst Friends in Britain and Ireland to support the work of the Cape Town Quaker Peace Centre.

The Cape Town Quaker Peace Centre is a non-profit organisation dedicated to working towards building a safe, peaceful society by addressing the issues that contribute to a high level of insecurity and personal and institutional violence.

It works mainly in schools with young women and men and teachers to foster alternatives to violence and tolerance for diversity, and to increase the numbers of people who are prepared to act against all forms of violence.

Video interviews with members of the Centre’s staff have been posted on youtube – see the recent news items on Helping to create non-violent schools: Voices from Cape Town 1-4 for the links.
